Cat5e Shielded Solid Crossover Outdoor Cable Description

This 100BaseT Category 5e crossover outdoor assembly uses a shielded, solid cable that is suitable for use in duct, for aerial lashing, and for direct burial. It is water blocked and has a black sunlight resistant jacket. This cable is heavy duty (9.65mm jacket diameter) with a corrugated coated aluminum tape shield (145mm minimum bend radius). It is not UL or CSA listed. This assembly features a one-piece connector with strain relief clamp that makes it extremely durable.

• Used in industry-standard 100Base-TX networks for 100 megabit Fast Ethernet over copper wiring.
• Cat5e ("enhanced") cables provide performance improvements over Cat5 cables.
• Conductive load bar helps reduce Near-End Crosstalk (NEXT), improving data integrity.
• Cat5e cable is backward compatible with Cat3 and Cat5.
• Solid cable can be used for all lengths up to 100 meters (328 feet) per 100BaseT specifications, and is required for lengths longer than 25 feet.

 Please note that if used for aerial application, these cables should be lashed to a messenger no less than once every 24 inches.
